The 13 regions of Greece

A SpatialPolygonsDataFrame of the 13 regions of Greece. The variables in the dataset are as follows:

  • code: The ID of the region

  • Name_en: Name of the region

  • gdp_capita: The GDP per capita of the region

  • GDP_mil: The GDP of the region in milion euros

  • pop_dens: Population density of the region

  • pop: Population of the region

  • total_area: Total area of the region in \(km^2\)

A SpatialPolygonsDataFrame() of the 13 regions of Greece

Source

The shapefile of the corresponding polygons is available from the Open-Data portal of the Greek Government. Population and GDP values are available from the Eurostat
